What Does Membership Mean? Faith is a lifelong journey and wherever you find yourself along the path, we welcome you, right where you are. At Marble, you will find a welcoming community in which to explore your faith, grow further and bring forth a deeper understanding of your connection to God. We believe that all individuals are unique, each with important gifts that make a difference in our community and in our world. Join us on a journey of meaning, discovery, joy, and peace. The journey becomes an adventure when we live it together.

Whether you worship with us in person or online, we are glad you are considering becoming a member of Marble. Below is the information you need to help you get started.

How can I Become a Member?

Let us know. Speak with someone wearing a red carnation after Worship on Sundays or Wednesdays. You’ll find them at the front of the Sanctuary or at the Welcome Table during Coffee Hour in the Marble Loft. If you worship with us online you can submit this form along with an email to

New Member Information Form

Attend our New Member Orientation Sessions offered on various Sundays and Wednesdays throughout the year, led by our ministers, Kim Sebastian-Ryan, Director of Membership & Connecting, and members of the Membership Team. We'd love to have you join us either in person or online. Please be sure to register by contacting Kim Sebastian-Ryan at (212) 686-2770.

  • Coffee With Clergy: For anyone interested in becoming a member, or who may be thinking about it, but still has questions, please join Senior Minister, Dr. Michael Bos and Rev. Brittany Hanlin for a conversation about "Community" and Q&A.
  • Orientations: You’ll have the opportunity to get to know one another, ask any questions you may have, meet our ministers, staff, and learn more about the Marble community. These orientations are designed to enrich your experience at Marble, and to explore how you can spark, or continue your faith journey with us.
  • Reception of New Members: Finally, experience the full Marble welcome as you are received into the community during the worship service.
